Italki’s mobile site is designed with a minimalistic style and is aesthetically pleasing. However, it is not listed as a positive point, since it lacks the emphasis on the primary features that are most beneficial to users. Also, to achieve a minimalistic style, Italki neglected to meet the needs of users with low vision. There are many areas with small text sizes and low contrast.  The site contains many features such as quizzes and writing exercises that increase users’ engagement. If the usability improvements are made on the primary feature which is connecting students to teachers, the Italki app’s usability will greatly increase (see findings 1 - 4).
